2. Configuration
The configuration page of the module supports currently 3 languages; Greek, English and German. If you want to write a translation for your language, do the following:
- Open the zipped file you downloaded from Google Code and extract the text language filemod_valaddthis\language\en-GB.mod_valaddthis.ini.
- Open this file with your favourite text editor (eg. Notepad++).
- In the text file can see many variables being defined as: VARIABLE_NAME=some text. Replace the text you see after the equal sign (=) with the translated text into your language.
- Save the file in UTF-8 format (just overwrite the file eg. by clicking on "Save" from the File menu in Notepad).
- Send the translated language file to me. You can contact me at this email address: valandis[at]valandis.de.
2.1. Edit Module
- Go to the menu "Extensions" and click on "Module Manager".
- Now look for the module name "ValAddThis" and click on the module's name to edit it.
Now you are on the module's configuration screen. On the right hand side you can see all the available module parameters.
2.2. General Parameters
The first parameters you may alter are the general ones:
- You can enter a suffix to be applied to the CSS class of the module, for individual styling. (default: empty)
- Choose the "Alignment" of the module. Available states are: default, left, center and right. (default: "default")
- In order to use the free Analytics service of AddThis.com you have to create an account there and put your account's ID in the module field "AddThis ID"; having an account at AddThis gives you access to their free Analytics service. You should also enter your account ID, in case you use an AddThis Button and want to include the "email" service in the AddThis menus; otherwise the email icon won't appear in the AddThis menu. It seems that this is not true if you use an AddThis toolbox instead. (default: empty)
- If you are installing the module on a secure Web-Server (https), choose "Yes". (default: "No")
- Now here you may choose between using an AddThis Button or an AddThis Toolbox. Some of the module's parameters below are valid only for the Button or for the Toolbox. (default: "Button")
- Optionally you may enter some HTML code, which is going to be displayed before the AddThis Button/Toolbox. (default: empty)
- Optionally you may enter some HTML code, which is going to be displayed after the AddThis Button/Toolbox. (default: empty)
- Here you can choose if any of the module's CSS files will be loaded or not; it can be useful if you use the module together with the plugin ValAddThis. (default: "Yes")

Thanks
But .... Everytime I make any changes to the 'custom' options for the toolbar I allways get the same thing; facebook, google, and the 'share' button. Using the services listed in the services directory doesn't seem to do anything. ...
I've tried everything and still no luck.
Thanks!
i sent an email directly to your last mail. can we communicate that way?
i did follow your answer and replaced the module with the plugin. It is working in the article but is not displayed in the blog commponent environment which is a problem. cheers, Jonas
thx for your answer.
have a look here please: whalewatchingsydney.com.au/.../
its working in there, but not in the normal blog view. www.whalewatchingsydney.com.au/.../
i think it doesnt work from inside the blog component?
The module isn't appropriate for article based bookmarking, it always reads the current page's URL. What you need is the ValAddThis plugin.
Im using the like buttons in a blog environment with many articles displayed on one page ( and x instances of the like button.
the problem is that all buttons have the same result when i press it. They dont feature the content of that specific article but the description of the parent site.
pleaee check here:

i hope you understand and can help.
